A nationally-recognized organic food retailer sought out SIVO to gain actionable insights into its points of differentiation by illuminating quantitative shopper data with human understanding.
How can the retailer be even more relevant and meaningful to shoppers in order to bolster growth?

Energizer Holdings Inc. tapped SIVO for their global insights need to better understand the shopper journey for its portable lights business in two key growth markets: France and Australia.
How can the brand impact decision-making in key moments during the shopper’s path to purchase?
How can the client team be intimately involved in the process in order to carry the insights forward internally, with Senior Leadership and in building relationships with key retailers?
Investigate the emotional drivers and need states behind purchasing decisions, articulate the purpose these products serve in people’s lives and illuminate key stages and moments in the shopper’s path to purchase.
Research design started with a client empathy exercise prior to consumer in-home and shopper journeys across select channels and retailers. Synthesis sessions were conducted at key points along the way to ensure insights were being discovered and digested.
The resulting Shopper Journey Map was used to inform the company’s global strategy for the portable lights business and key insights were used as sources for innovation and inspiration for new product development.
Video storytelling was crucial in being able to convey the shopper journey in a compelling way with client leadership and retailers.
A leading Loyalty Marketing and CRM Agency was looking to elevate its point of view on brand loyalty to maintain its thought leadership position in the industry.
In partnership with Panoramix Global, SIVO explored the human side of Loyalty and how brands earn true commitment from customer relationships.
What are the values and traits of emotional loyalty versus habitual or transactional loyalty?
What is the framework for translating emotional loyalty into authentic customer commitment?
How is emotional loyalty actualized between brands and customers?
Our multi-methodological approach involving three research techniques provided a well-rounded and deep perspective:
1. Trend research including expert interviews with social scientists;
2. Qualitative research involving consumer in-context and one-on-one conversations in key markets, exploring loyalty overall and in four business verticals
3. Quantitative research validating key drivers and mapping out key opportunity areas.
SIVO and Panoramix developed a framework that identified 6 key drivers to earning emotional loyalty with customers.
This framework was used to inform the Agency’s roadmap for helping its clients establish genuine loyalty at scale.
